Vocabulary

Appearance (n): 1- the way a person or thing looks to other people.
E.g.: He’s a middle-aged man of smart appearance.
E.g.: He’s too worried about his appearance. I don’t like that.
E.g.: You can change the whole appearance of a room just by lighting it in a certain way.

Slim (adj): 1- (especially of people) attractively thin.
E.g.: slim hips/legs
E.g.: She has a lovely slim figure.
E.g.: She was of slim build with short, dark hair.

Dreadlocks (n): 1- hairstyle in which the hair hangs in long thick twisted pieces.
E.g.: Jesse has been wearing  his hair in dreadlocks for over a year now.

Average (adj): 1- typical and usual; not special; not too good or too bad.
E.g.: The average person on the street is a lot better off than they were 40 years ago.
E.g.: He’s a very average-looking young man, but he’s very, very smart.

Muscular (adj): 1- having well-developed muscles.
E.g.: She has very muscular arms/legs
E.g.: He wished he was more muscular.
