Vocabulary

Bilingual (adj): 1- (of a person) able to use two languages equally well, or (of a thing) using or involving two languages:
E.g.: She works as a bilingual secretary for an international company.

Diet (n): 1- the food and drink usually eaten or drunk by a person or group. 2- an eating plan in which someone eats less food, or only particular types of food, because they want to become thinner or for medical reasons:
E.g.: Diet varies between different countries in the world.
E.g.: I’m going on a diet next week and hope to lose ten pounds before Christmas.

Shallow (adj): 1- having only a short distance from the top to the bottom (≠ deep). 2- not showing serious or careful thought:
E.g.: The river was quite shallow so we were able to walk across it.
E.g.: I thought the film was pretty shallow.
E.g.: He’s physically attractive, but shallow.
