Vocabulary

Visit (v): 1-  to go to a place in order to look at it, or to a person in order to spend time with them.
E.g.: We visited a few art galleries (艺术画廊) while we were in Paris.
E.g.: Will you visit me when I’m in hospital?
E.g.: When did you last visit the dentist/doctor?

Formal (adj): 1- formal language, clothes, and behavior are suitable for serious or official occasions. (≠ Informal)
E.g.: Is it considered wrong to wear such a short skirt to a formal occasion?
E.g.: My clothes for work tend to be quite formal.
E.g.: The two groups agreed to hold an informal meeting.
E.g.: He’s the ideal sort of teacher – direct, friendly, and informal.

Affection (n): 1- a feeling of liking for a person or place.
E.g.: She felt no affection for the child.
E.g.: He had a deep affection for his aunt.
E.g.: He’s not very good at expressing/showing affection.
