Vocabulary

Overbearing (adj): 1- too confident and too determined to tell other people what to do, in a way that is unpleasant.
E.g.: She had a very overbearing father.

Outweigh (v): 1- to be greater or more important than something else.
E.g.: The benefits of this treatment far outweigh any risks.

Content (n): 1- the ideas that are contained in a piece of writing, a speech, or a film.
E.g.: It’s a very stylish and beautiful film, but it lacks content.
E.g.: We’ve discussed the unusual form of the book – now, what about the content?

State-owned (adj): 1- owned by the government.
E.g.: He works for a state-owned company.

Drive (n): 1- a planned effort to achieve something.
E.g.: The latest promotional material is all part of a recruitment drive.
E.g.: He has no drive to change his situation.

Driven (adj): 1-Someone who is driven is so determined to achieve something or be successful that all of their behaviour is directed towards this aim.
E.g.: Like most of the lawyers that I know, Rachel is very driven.
