Vocabulary

Veto (n): 1- an official power or right to refuse to accept or allow something.
E.g.: The president has the power of veto over any bill that comes across his desk.
E.g.: In theory the British government could use its veto to block this proposal.

Resent (v): 1- to feel angry because you have been forced to accept someone or something that you do not like. (n: Resentment)
E.g.: She bitterly (= strongly) resented her father’s new wife.
E.g.: He feels a deep resentment towards his parents for his miserable childhood.

Script (n): 1- the words of a film, play, broadcast, or speech:
E.g.: Bruce Robinson wrote the script for “The Killing Fields”.
E.g.: Two writers collaborated on the script for the movie.
