Vocabulary

Sexism (n): 1- (actions based on) the belief that the members of one sex are less intelligent, able, skilful, etc. than the members of the other sex, especially that women are less able than men.
E.g.: The university has been accused of sexism because it has so few women professors.

Crash Course (n): 1- a course that teaches you a lot of basic facts in a very short time.
E.g.: I did/took a crash course in French before my trip to Paris.

Routine (n): 1- a usual or fixed way of doing things.
E.g.: There’s no set/fixed routine at work – every day is different.
E.g.: I’m trying to incorporate exercising to my routine.

Balcony (n): 1-  an open area with a wall or bars around it that is joined to the outside wall of a building on an upper level.
E.g.: We had a drink on the hotel balcony.
E.g.: He only smokes at the balcony.

Side-effect (n): 1- an unpleasant effect of a drug that happens in addition to the main effect.
E.g.: Does this drug have any side effects?

Six-pack (n): 1- the well-developed muscles of a man’s stomach.
E.g.: I’m trying to do more sit-ups to get a six-pack.

Plank (n): 1- an exercise in which you hold your body straight and parallel to the floor while resting on your toes and hands or elbows:
E.g.: Planks are very good for strengthening your core.

Sit-ups (n): 1- 仰卧起坐
