Vocabulary

Save (v): 1- to keep something, especially money, for use in the future:
E.g.: Tom’s been saving his pocket money every week.
E.g.: We’re saving (up) for a new car.
E.g.: I save all my old letters in case I want to read them again.

Crossroads (n): 1- a place where two roads meet and cross each other.
E.g.: I will wait for you near the crossroads between Huashan Road and Wulumuqi Road.

Directions (n): 1-
E.g.: Why don’t you just stop somewhere and ask for directions?
E.g.: You gave us very clear directions.
E.g.: I gave her directions how to get here.

Corner (n): 1- the point, area, or line that is formed by the meeting of two lines, surfaces, roads, etc.:
E.g.: You go around corners too fast when you’re driving!
E.g.: There’s a postbox on the corner (= the place where the street crosses another).
E.g.: Click the icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
E.g.: I have a bruise where I hit my leg on the corner of the table.
E.g.: They live just around the corner (= very close although not in the same road) – so we see them all the time.
