Fluctuate (v): 1- to change, especially continuously and between one level or thing and another. (n: Fluctuation)
E.g.: Vegetable prices fluctuate according to the season.
E.g.: Her wages fluctuate between £150 and £200 a week.

Adversarial (adj): 1- involving people opposing or disagreeing with each other.
E.g.:In the old days of two-party adversarial politics, voting was easy.

Combative eager to fight or argue.
E.g.: He was in a very combative mood, and accused her of incompetence.
