Backward (adj): 1- towards the direction that is the opposite to the one in which you are facing.
E.g.: She left without a backward glance.
E.g.: He was walking backwards.
Scene (n): 1- a particular area of activity and all the people or things connected with it:
E.g.: Shanghai has one of the best dining scenes in Asia.
E.g.: Rap music appeared on the scene in the early 1980s.
E.g.: I’d rather go to a jazz concert – I’m afraid opera isn’t really my scene (= is not the type of thing I like).
Mature (adj): 1- Mature people behave like adults in a way that shows they are well developed emotionally. (≠ Immature)
E.g.: He’s very mature for his age.
E.g.: Stop being so silly and immature, Chris!
