Vocabulary

Gunman (n): 1- a man, usually a criminal, who is armed with a gun.

E.g.: In the dictionary, “reality” is defined as “the state of things as they are, rather than as they are imagined to be”.

Definite (adj): 1- fixed, certain, or clear.
E.g.: The date for the meeting is now definite: the 5th of March .
E.g.: She has very definite opinions.
E.g.: We need a definite answer by tomorrow.

Definitely (adv): 1- for sure; without any doubt.
E.g.: Have you definitely decided to go to Costa Rica?
E.g.: He definitely said he’d be here.
E.g.: “Are you going to have children?” “Oh, definitely (= without any doubt).”
E.g.: “She’s not coming?” “No, definitely not.”

Terrorism (n): 1- (threats of) violent action for political purposes. (adj: Terrorism)
E.g.: Governments must cooperate if they are to fight/combat international terrorism.
E.g.: The bomb explosion was one of the worst acts of terrorism that the country had experienced in recent years.
E.g.: On September 11th  2001, the US suffered the worst terrorist attacks in their history.
