Vocabulary

Rigid (adj): 1-  stiff or fixed; not able to be bent or moved. 2- not able to be changed or persuaded
E.g.:I was rigid with (= stiff and unable to move because of) fear.
E.g.: We were disappointed that they insisted on such a rigid interpretation of the rules.

Occur (n): 1- (especially of accidents and other unexpected events) to happen. 2- to exist or be present in, among, etc.
E.g.: An accident involving over ten vehicles has occurred in the east-bound lane.
E.g.: Violence of some type seems to occur in every society.

Occur to somebody (phr. v): 1- If a thought or idea occurs to you, it comes into your mind:
E.g.: The thought did occur to me.
E.g.: It never even occurred to us that he hadn’t been invited.
E.g.: Does it ever occur to you that I might want to be on my own sometimes?

E.g.: I don’t believe he has the right temperament to deal with this situation.

Homogeneous (adj): 1- consisting of parts or people that are similar to each other or are of the same type:
E.g.: The population of the village has remained very homogeneous.

Grammar

I find it (adjective) to (do something)
This phrase is used to describe opinions or feelings that you have. It’s a slightly educated and formal-sounding phrase that you use to emphasize that what you’re describing is your personal experience, not a suggestion that you are making to the listener. Here is another example:

I find it interesting to sit outside and watch the different people walking by at lunch time.

The word “hard” is especially common with “I find it”:

I find it hard to believe that you’re really going to need all that luggage just for 3 days.
