Vocabulary

Polite (adj): 1- behaving in a way that is socially correct and shows understanding of and care for other people’s feelings. ( Impolite)
E.g.: I’m afraid I wasn’t very polite to her.
E.g.: She sent me a polite letter thanking me for my invitation.
E.g.: He was too polite to point out my mistake
E.g.: He was very impolite to his mother.

Jet lag (n): 1– the feeling of tiredness and confusion that people experience after making a long journey by plane to a place where the time is different from the place they left:
E.g.: Every time I fly to the States, I get really bad jet lag.

Score (n): 1- he number of points, goals, etc. achieved in a game or competition:
E.g.: The final score was 3–0.
E.g.: I didn’t have a very good score / grade at the test.

Duty (n): 1- something that you have to do because it is part of your job, or something that you feel is the right thing to do:
E.g.: I felt it was my duty to tell them the truth.
E.g.: You have a duty to yourself to take a break once in a while.

Function (n): 1- the purpose of something or the duty of a person.
E.g.: The function of the veins (静脉) is to carry blood to the heart.
E.g.: I’m not quite sure what my function is in the company.
E.g.: A thermostat (恒温器) has the function of controlling temperature.

Behavior (n): 1- a particular way of acting.
E.g.: Many people complained about the behavior of some of the fans, who were loud and impolite.
E.g.: This approach can help identify common behaviors and their causes.
