Vocabulary

Clarity (n): 1- the quality of being clear and easy to understand.
E.g.: There has been a call for greater clarity in this area of the law.

Masculine (adj): 1- having characteristics that are traditionally thought to be typical of or suitable for men.
E.g.: She looks a bit masculine in that suit.
E.g.: He wanted a more masculine hair style.

Feminine (adj): 1- having characteristics that are traditionally thought to be typical of or suitable for a woman.
E.g.: With his long dark eyelashes, he looked almost feminine.
E.g.: The current style in evening wear is soft, romantic, and feminine.
E.g.: Her clothes are always very feminine.

Feminism (n): 1- the belief that women should be allowed the same rights, power, and opportunities as men and be treated in the same way, or the set of activities intended to achieve this state. 2- 女权主义. (adj: Feminist)
E.g.: She had a lifelong commitment to feminism.
E.g.: We should all be feminists.

Severe (adj): 1- very serious (causing very great pain, difficulty, worry, damage, etc.). 2- extreme or very difficult.
E.g.: In parts of Africa there is a severe food/water shortage.
E.g.: This will be a severe test of our strength.
