Vocabulary

Allergy (n): 1- a condition that makes a person become sick or develop skin or breathing problems because they have eaten certain foods or been near certain substances. (adj: Allergic)
E.g.: I have no food allergies.
E.g.: I’m allergic to dust.

Therapy (n): 1- a treatment that helps someone feel better, grow stronger, etc., especially after an illness.
E.g.: Have you had any therapy for your depression?

Depression (n): 1- a mental illness in which a person is very unhappy and anxious (= worried and nervous) for long periods and cannot have a normal life during these periods.
E.g.: If you suffer from depression, it’s best to get professional help.

Laid-back (adj): 1- relaxed in manner and character; not usually worried about other people’s behaviour or things that need to be done:
E.g.: I’ve never seen her worried or anxious in any way – she’s so laid-back.

Mild (adj): 1- not strong or extreme.
E.g.: She can’t accept even mild criticism of her work.
E.g.: He only had a mild allergic reaction.
