Vocabulary

Routine (n): 1- a usual or fixed way of doing things. 2- a regular series of movements, jokes, or similar things used in a performance.
E.g.: Exercise has become part of my daily routine.
E.g.: He went into his usual “I’m the head of the family” routine (= usual way of speaking).

Illusion (n): 1-  an idea or belief that is not true.
E.g.: He had no illusions about his talents as a singer.
E.g.: I’m under no illusions (= I understand the truth) about the man I married.

Aspiration (n): 1- something that you hope to achieve.
E.g.: I’ve never had any political aspirations.
E.g.: It is important to encourage children’s dreams and aspirations.

Hypothetical (adj): 1- imagined or suggested but not necessarily real or true. (adv: Hypothetical)
E.g.: This is all very hypothetical but supposing Jackie got the job, how would that affect you?

Enemy (n): 1- a person who hates or opposes another person and tries to harm them or stop them from doing something:
E.g.: He’s made a few enemies in this company.
E.g.: Max stole Lee’s girlfriend and they’ve been enemies ever since.

Suspicious (adj): 1- making you feel that something is wrong:
E.g.: Her behavior was very suspicious.
