Vocabulary

Trick – to do something that someone doesn’t expect and surprise them, often as a joke
e.g. He tricked me into coming to his house to do homework, when actually they were planning a surprise party.

Guilty – (adj) to feel bad because you know that you should be doing something else, or not do something
e.g. I ate more cookies than I should have, and so now I feel guilty (I did something I should not have done).
e.g. I should have been more patient, but I got angry with my friend. Now I feel guilty for being mean (I should have done something, but I didn’t do it, instead I did something I shouldn’t have).
Regret – (v) to feel guilty 后悔

Grammar

Next-door tells me about where something is, as an adjective or an adverb.
e.g. The house next-door
e.g. Go next-door and ask for an egg. We need one more for this cake!
Beside is either a comparison or an adverb.
e.g. He is sitting beside me.
e.g. The building was built beside the bank.

— If you want to switch the group you are comparing yourself to in the middle of a sentence, you should use the name of that group so that it is clear:
e.g. I woke up earlier than my roommates, but I still wasn’t the first of my classmates to arrive in the classroom.

Lucy has blacker hair than Lily.
Lily’s hair is the blackest in that group of white people, but her hair is not darker than Lucy’s, since Lucy is Chinese.

Last years I traveled out side of China to Phuket. There are many Russians in Phuket. My travel was in a group without my parents. If we were with our parents, we had to be on our good behavior. So we could join in the night party. From now on ,i want to travel to more English speaking countries.If i want travel to out side of China myself, i need to learn English well.And then I can deal with things in English speaking countries


Two years ago I traveled outside of China / abroad to Phuket. There are many Russians in Phuket. My travel trip was / I traveled in a group without my parents. If we were with our parents, we had would have had to be on our good best behavior. So, since our parents were not there, we could join in the night parties. From now on, I want to travel to more English speaking countries. If I want to travel alone to outside of China / abroad alone myself, I need to learn English well. And then I can deal with things in English speaking countries.
