Vocabulary

Plural – when you have more than one of something, usually you use “s” to show it
e.g. Egg –> Eggs
e.g. Child –> Children
e.g. Woman –> Women

Realize – to notice something; to complete something
e.g. Oh no! I just realized that I forgot my key at home!
e.g. We are hoping to realize these plans within the next year.

Priority – something that is more important than something else; a system of showing which things are more important
e.g. Our priority is customer satisfaction! (the most important thing for us that our customers are happy with our service)

Satisfaction – to be happy with what you have, and to have enough
e.g. That dinner was just enough. I am very satisfied (I have eaten enough, and it tasted good)

Prototype – a first creation of something to make sure that it works right, before anyone in the general public can use it
e.g. First we have to test our prototype before we begin to produce it for sale.

Optimization – to make something achieve your goals, and to do it without any waste; efficient and effective
e.g. A good optimization plan will increase what we can do while also lowering costs.

Efficient – 有效
e.g. He is very efficient. It takes me ten minutes to wash a shirt, but it only takes him five.
e.g. This car is very efficient. It only needs a little power to go a long way.

Effective – to do a good job getting some result
e.g. Lessons at SmartEnglish are very effective, because you will learn English quickly and remember what you learn.
