Vocabulary
Zebra – like a horse with black and white lines 斑马
Witch – a lady who can fly on a broom and do magic 巫婆
Hand in – to finish something and give it to a teacher or boss
e.g. I have to hand in my final assignments this week.
Mess up / screw up – to do something wrong so that it is no good anymore
e.g. If you draw a great sketch but mess up the watercolors, do you have to draw the sketch again?
Ruin – when something goes so wrong that it destroys what you are trying to do; when something is no good anymore
e.g. I was painting a very nice landscape when my cat knocked my paints over and ruined my painting.
Landscape – painting a large outdoor area, usually of nature 风景画
Cardboard – 卡纸
Absorb – for liquid to go inside of something else
e.g. Cardboard doesn’t absorb watercolors, so I couldn’t paint my sketch. I had to redraw the sketch on a special type of paper that is good for watercolors.

Fabric Transformation / Alteration / Fabric Repurposing / Fabric Reuse – 面料改造
Embroidery – sewing, but not to hold things together, but to make it look nice, to create a nice design
Material – more general than fabric; anything you make something out of
Rip / Tear – when you pull on something until it breaks 扯

Tomorrow I need hand up the fashion sketch. The day after tomorrow I need to finish the final pictures about five makeup. This Tuesday I hand up a essay about costume and makeup and the light and the space, then their connection, and next Monday I have to hand up another essay about my favorite exhibition or arts from 1970 to now. Last week I have to hand up another homework about the Fabric Transformation(?).
