Vocabulary

Stitches – when you get a bad cut and the doctor uses string to help you heal, to close the cut
e.g. Hank once cut his chin, and had to get stitches. After seven days, the stitches were removed.

Scar – when you have a cut that has already healed, but you can still see where it was
e.g. Hank has a small scar on left corner of his chin, and a long scar on his left leg.

Twelve – the number after eleven and before thirteen.
e.g. Ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen…

Goalie – the soccer player who stops the ball from going into the goal
e.g. The goalie is the only player who can use their hands.

Fox – 狐狸

Octopus – 章鱼

Leopard – 豹子

Fight – to use your hands and arms and legs and feet to hurt someone else
e.g. Ninjas are known to be good at fighting.

Become – the change into something else
e.g. He became a nine-tailed fox.

Village – small town; 村
e.g. My family lives in a village in the country.

Speaking exercise

His father is the ninja’s king. And one day he is the nine-tail [fox]. And the has the other things. Eight-tail “jiangyu” and the seven-tail flies, and the six-tail frog, and five-tail wolf, and the four-tail dogs, three-tail lions, blue, two-tail “baozi”, and the one-tail. They go to Japan’s other ninjas and they fight in the “cunzhuang.” And the nine-tail fox come to the “muyecun.” When he get to the muyecun, he does pohuai. He uses a ball to shoot.


His father is king of the ninjas. One day he becomes the nine-tailed fox. And there are other creatures too. There are the eight-tentacled octopus, the seven-tailed flies, the six-tailed frog, the five-tailed wolf, the four-tailed dogs, the three-tailed lions, the blue, two-tailed leopard and the one-tailed creature. They go to find Japan’s other ninjas, and they fight in the villages. And the nine-tailed fox goes to the forest village. When he gets there, he destroys the village with a ball of energy.
