Grammar

How long in Shanghai? – we need to have a verb
How long have you been in Shanghai.

Have (verb) – it is verb in the past, but close to the present; with relation to the present

Happiness vs. Happy – the first is a noun (名词), the second is an adjective(形容词)
e.g. I wish you a lot of happiness.
e.g. I am very happy to be working with Smart English.

Sentence order:
Chinese – subject ( where, when, with who) verb noun – 我在上海教课
English – subject verb noun ( where, when, with who) – I teach English in Shanghai (with Jesse near Jing’an etc.)

Stay vs. Live
Where you live is where your home is; it is somewhere you stay for a long time (an apartment, at university)
Where you stay may only be for a few nights, or at a friend’s apartment.

Numbers
English – groups of three; 1 million = 1,000,000 (ones) (tens) (hundreds) 1, 10, 100, (thousand) —,000, (million) —,000,000, (billions), etc.
Chinese – groups of four; 一百万 = 100,0000
