Vocabulary
Grumpy – in a bad mood, especially in the morning
e.g. He didn’t sleep well last night, so he was awfully grumpy this morning.
To be a glutton for punishment – when you enjoy doing something that is difficult, when you like working too hard
e.g. Sierra had two classes in a row with Nick. She is some kind of glutton for punishment!
Glutton – someone who likes to eat and drink a lot, someone who likes too much of something, 他很馋,他很好吃(懒做)
Proctor – someone who reads the instructions for a test, keeps track of the time remaining, and makes sure that the students don’t cheat
e.g. I was trying to pass a note to my friend during the test, but the proctor caught me and took my test away.
Sensitivity – the ability to read another person, how they are feeling, what they are like; someone who can read and act appropriately in difficult situations
e.g. Since he works as a psychologist, he must have great sensitivity for people’s problems and helping them to solve their problems.

Bagel – round bread with a hole in the middle; a doughnut without all the sugar
e.g. For breakfast, we went out and had bagels with cream cheese.
