Vocabulary
Soap opera – a dramatic tv show
Affair – to have a relationship with someone who is not your spouse
e.g. She had an affair with the handsome man.
To be unfaithful – to have a relationship with someone outside your marriage
e.g. He was unfaithful to his wife (he had a mistress), and now they have to work through this difficult time.
Stray – to walk away from where you should be walking; to do something you shouldn’t probably gradually
e.g. She strayed from her marriage, but has come back and fixed things up with her husband.
Housewife / homemaker – (usually) a woman who stays at home
e.g. She doesn’t have a job outside the house. She is a housewife.
