Homework

Write some sentences using the form “if … then …” so that you can practice the conditional
e.g. If you don’t sleep, then you will be tired.
Also, use the verb “would”
e.g. If I could go to the United States, (then) I would definitely choose Chicago!

BONUS: use the new vocabulary in your sentences.

Vocabulary

Destination wedding – when people get married somewhere because it is beautiful, not because anyone is from there
e.g. One of Sunny’s friends had a destination wedding in Thailand.

Renew – get something again, or make it new again
e.g. When I go home I have to renew my license.

School Uniform – clothes that students have to wear at school

Shave – to cut off the hair on your face

Mustache – hair on your upper lip

Cheek – the skin on the sides of your face, by your teeth

Vivid – a description that is so clear that you can see it, hear it, taste it, feel it
e.g. The term “walrus mustache” is rather vivid. I know exactly what you mean!

Run over – when something with wheels hits you and continues moving right over you
Hit – when a car comes into contact with something, but maybe doesn’t continue over them (this is slightly more general)

Bonus – something extra that you get for free
e.g. The Christmas bonus from our company this year was great!

Grammar

Tired vs. Tiring – how you feeling vs. what makes you feel tired
e.g. The trip was very tiring.
