Vocabulary

Motherboard – the main “brain” in a computer
Processor – the part of a computer that “thinks”

Celebratory – the adjective for “celebrate”
e.g. We have a celebratory dinner tonight because my colleague was promoted.

Physical Condition – if you are strong or not
e.g. I was not in a good enough physical condition to climb Emei Shan from the bottom to the top.

In-laws – your wife/husband’s parents
e.g. When I went to visit my in-laws, they made me drink a lot of baijiu.
— Your relationship to them is by marriage, which is through the law.
— Anyone connected by marriage to your immediate family is an “in-law”

Distinguish – be able to tell the difference between two things
e.g. Even some Chinese can’t distinguish the different relationships.

Grammar

It just repaired – it was just repaired
— This lets you talk about something without saying who did it.

Did you get drunk? Were you drunk?
— The difference is that “got” is about a change.
