Write about the rich families in Korea. Are they too much like royalty?

Vocabulary

Hypothetical – something that hasn’t happened; if
e.g. If I forgot their name, I would ask again and apologize.

Elder vs. Older vs. the Elderly vs. Elderly – noun vs. adjective vs. noun (usually)
e.g. You must treat your elders with respect.
e.g. He is older than I am.
e.g. We must take care of the elderly as they took care of us as kids.
e.g. My grandma is now quite elderly, and we have to care for her.
BUT, “elder sister” or “elder brother”

Family-owned – especially for companies

Class – social hierarchy
e.g. Rich people in Korea believe that are part of a totally separate class, and they don’t need to treat regular people with respect.

Media Company – a company involved in radio, news, television, music
e.g. The media company was manipulating the rankings to keep their daughter out of the news.

Hottest – the most popular thing
e.g. The hottest news right now is about what Donald Trump just said.

Congress – the two bodies who together write laws in the US (the Senate and the House of Representatives)
e.g. We just had elections that replaced the members of Congress.

Parties – the political groups that organize people who want to be in Congress or be the President/Governor, and help to run elections
