Find the final things you might need for traveling!

Vocabulary

Spirit – sort of like a ghost, but common in religions of nature
e.g. The spirit of the forest.
e.g. The spirit of the ancient tree.
e.g. The bear spirit.
— The feeling of something, the essence.
e.g. We meet in a spirit of friendship.

Landlord – Tenant – the person who rents out, and the person who rents
e.g. I talked to my landlord about the shower, because it isn’t working.
e.g. My tenant is always complaining about the shower, even though it works just fine!

Host – someone who lets you stay in their house or apartment; on AirBnb, the owner of a place you can stay in.
e.g. We have someone who can contact the host for us.

Reservation – when you book something like a hotel room or a table so that no one else can use it
e.g. We have a reservation and would like to check in now.

That’s neither here nor there – that is not related to what we’re talking about
e.g. Anyway, that’s the story of how we got lost in Paris, but that’s neither here nor there. Let’s get back to business.

Ask for directions – to try to find the way to a particular place
e.g. We realized that we were lost, we had to stop to ask for directions.

Blush – when your face turns red from embarrassment

— On the bus, you may need to push a button or pull a cord to tell the driver that you want to get off. Check for signs.
