Vocabulary

Pants – trousers, long clothes for your legs (past the knee)
e.g. In Suzhou, there is a famous building that looks like pants (trousers).

Sculpture – a piece of art made out materials like wood, stone, metal, and in a certain shape.
e.g. Chicago has a famous sculpture called “Cloudgate”
e.g. Venus, the woman without arms, is a famous sculpture.

Spaceship – a machine for flying in space
e.g. ET must have arrived on Earth in a spaceship.

Crash – to run into something 撞
e.g. My friend crashed into a tree, and ruined his car.

Bottle – tall and thin, usually for holding water, soda, sauces (ketchup, mustard)
Jar – short, fat bottle, with a big mouth; for pickles!

Pickle – 黄瓜，盐，＆　白醋

Basement – floors which are underground (B1, B2, B3…)

Sauce / Condiment – 酱; for putting on food to improve the taste
e.g. Mustard is a popular sauce for hot dogs and hamburgers.
