Loud – very big sounds
e.g. Some kids are very loud. Yolanda doesn’t like loud kids.
Silence – the opposite of loud; no noise
e.g. Yolanda like silence, especially when she has a headache.

Alcohol – 酒
Percent – part of a total, out of 100
— 百分之几 , for alcohol, we measure by percent
e.g. Baijiu is 52% alcohol (五十二度)
Dizzy – 头晕
e.g. After drinking a whole bottle of wine, Yolanda felt dizzy.
Weak – not strong
e.g. She also felt very weak from the alcohol.
Discount – when something has a lower price; 折
e.g. This shirt is twenty percent off; that is a good discount.
— 8折 - twenty percent off
— 6折 - forty percent off

People vs. person – people means a group; person means one
Pronunciation

Fifty vs. Fifteen – be careful with the “n”
Speaking exercise
One month I rest four days. Sometimes maybe six person, more than ten. One studio most maybe eight nine person. Small studio. Don’t have more person. Big studio twenty person. I have class Vinyasa, Hot Yoga.
This was not wrong, but the second has full sentences and sounds better:
In one month, I have four days off. In my classes, sometimes there are maybe six people, but sometimes more than ten people. A small studio has, at most, maybe eight or nine people. A small studio can’t have more people. A big studio has, at most, twenty people. I teach Vinyasa classes.
