I have worked in the furniture industry for over 16 years and I have worked in the office furniture industry specifically for over 13 of those years.

Why I Want This Job

Throughout my career, I have always been interested in my professional growth.

I want to grow professionally, I want to get better.

I want to contribute to AMQ.

The last company I worked for was a startup, and I just found I prefer working with companies that have more developed / have better processes.

I think this position at AMQ is a great opportunity for me to grow, learn new things, have meet new challenges.

The ability to work from home is also very attractive for me.

My Professional Strengths

Throughout my career, I have gained lots of specialized knowledge about the office furniture industry especially here in China.

Working with Chinese OEM suppliers can be very challenging, especially for international companies, I have learned how to work very closely with them.

I have excellent communication skills and over 16 years experience working with OEM suppliers.

I’m a fast learner.

I don’t need a lot of direction — you can just give me a goal or a task, and I will make sure it gets done on time and on budget.

I can identify problems quickly and I find solutions for them quickly too.

I can identify problems quickly and find solutions right away.

I am very decisive – I identify the problem and I make the right decision quickly.

I have lots of experience in many different areas such as product development, supply management, quality control, and logistics. AMQ can fill all of these roles with just one hire — so they are reducing costs just by hiring me. And in the future, as I do a good job, and our business grows, I have experience leading teams as well, as the team grows.

I have the experience needed to grow the business and grow our team in the future.

My Professional Weaknesses

I invest in myself continually. For example, I spent about 20,000 RMB per year to study English every week, with a private teacher, 1-on-1 from America.
I always knew I wanted to work with an American company, so I hired an American teacher to work with me to improve my spoken English every week.

New Product Development 

My focus is always on how to develop new products on budget and on time.

I specialize at value analysis and value engineering studies. I can work with our suppliers to identify new products and business opportunities.

Supply Management 

I also focus on the continued improvement of the quality, delivery, and service with our OEM suppliers.

I ensure that our suppliers are always reducing costs.
Based on a value analysis and value engineering study, I ensure our suppliers produce at the highest possible quality at the lowest possible cost.
For 16 years I have conducted VAVE studies, so I am very good at reducing costs with our suppliers.

I am very skilled at defining KPIs, executing a plan and then tracking our progress monthly to identify opportunities.
Each month, I track our progress towards KPIs and find new opportunities.
