Vocabulary

admire – to look up to someone – 欣赏

athletic – plays sports well – 运动 – athlete 

e.g. You have to be athletic to be good at ju its su.

e.g. If you are an athlete, you are usually strong and fit.

e.g. LeBron James is a very famous athlete. He is 6 foot 9 inches, 260 pounds and he can move like a dancer — so he is very athletic.

volleyball – pei qiao

e.g. The Chinese national volleyball team won the gold medal in the Olympics.

school team – 校队

e.g. She played for the school team.

body type – 身型

e.g. She had a thick body type.

thick – not fat – but not thin – “thicc”

strong social skills – strong social ability – strong people skills – good with people

it’s more important who you know, not just what you know

it’s not always about what you know, it’s about who you know

networking – to find other professionals that can help us move forward professionally

e.g. It’s important to go to networking events to network with other people to grow our network.

e.g. Successful networking is about making real friendships with people.

If I want to describe an action / verb – I add “ly” – fluently.
