Vocabulary

pocket money (n): 1- money that parents regularly give to their child to spend as they choose:
E..g: My dad gives me £5 a week pocket money.

housework (n): 1-the work of keeping a house clean and tidy家务
E.g.: I hate doing housework.

save (v): 1-to keep something, especially money, for use in the future保存,储存;储蓄,攒钱
E.g.: Tom’s been saving his pocket money every week.-money

waste (v):an unnecessary or wrong use of money, time, energy, abilities, etc.

underage (adj): 1-;未成年人的 done by people who are too young by law
E.g.: I was arrested (逮捕) for underage drinking

not supposed to-If you are not supposed to do something you are not allowed to do it:

exchange (n): 1-the act of giving something to someone and them giving you something else:

Be about to
We use be about to as an adjective to refer to something that will happen very soon in the future:
E.g.: He was about to phone the police.

Speaking exercise

when I was a teenager my parents gave me a pocket money I need to make home clean and tidy/I had to do housework every week. And then they gave me the money  once a month. Then I bought a popular things like walkman, CD player, tickets for a pop star concert, I need save money for long time. When I was go to the college  I need go to a part time job to earn money in an ice cream parlour/store and a caffe and then I had first trip to America.
