Vocabulary

grumpy (adj): 1-easily annoyed and complaining:
E.g.: I hadn’t had enough sleep and was feeling kind of grumpy.
E.g.: a grumpy old man

strict (adj): 1-严格的strongly limiting someone’s freedom to behave as they wish, or likely to severely punish someone if they do not obey:
E..g: My parents were very strict with me when I was young.

form (v): If separate things form, they come together to make a whole:
E.g.: The children formed into lines.
2-to begin to exist or to make something begin to exist:
E.g.: A crowd formed around the accident.

gender (n)性别, the physical and/or social condition of being male or female:
E.g.: Discrimination on the basis of race, gender, age or disability is not allowed.

discrimination (n): 1-歧视,  treating a person or particular group of people differently, especially in a worse way from the way in which you treat other people, because of their skin color, sex, sexuality, etc.:
E.g.: racial/sex/age discrimination
E.g.: Until 1986 most companies would not even allow women to take the exams, but such discrimination is now disappearing.

discriminate (v)-辨析

equality of genders-性别平等

equal rights-平等权利

separate (v)-分离, to make people move apart or into different places, or to move apart:
E.g.: At school they always tried to separate Jane and me because we were troublemakers.
E.g.: Perhaps we should separate now and meet up later.

annoy (v): 1-使恼怒;使生气 to make somebody slightly angry
E.g.: His constant joking was beginning to annoy her.-他不停地开玩笑,已开始惹她生气

annoyed-恼怒的

annoying- 烦人的, making you feel annoyed:
E.g.: It’s really annoying when a train is late and there’s no explanation.
E.g.: He’s got a really annoying laugh.

high-rise (n)-高层建筑, a tall modern building with many floors:
E.g.: She lives in a high-rise overlooking the river.

Speaking exercise

I got two neighbors but I know one of them well. My neighbor have a child and he’s 7-8 years old. He is study in primary school. I didn’t play with him but sometimes he will come to my home and ask me some questions about studying. He’s not annoying and I see him twice a week. The other neighbor they also have a child but I don’t know really well about them  and I didn’t meet them for a long time.
