How deep is the sea?
The sea can be very deep,

deep (adj)-深的
E.g.: a deep river/sea
E.g.: The water’s not deep here – look, I can touch the bottom.

tall-高的,of more than average height, or of a particular height:
E.g.: He’s a tall boy
E.g.: a tall building
E.g.: He’s six feet tall.
E.g.: He’s much taller than me.

We use HIGH for mountains and for things/buildings which are a long way above the ground:
E.g.: There are some high mountains in the north of the country.

For people we use TALL
E.g.: John is very tall and slim.
