Dear Haworth leadership,
I hope to obtain the opportunity to join the ALP strongly. I have applied to join last year, but failed, I was upset. So when the program launched this year, I tried to apply again without hesitation.
I found other guys who have joined the program was really changed, they spent more time to learn, and applied the skills and technology in their daily work. That was a wonderful experience even though they were very tied for regular team discussion by the conference call because team members were from different countries which with different time zone. They got more and also contributed more.
For me, I love Haworth, so I worked in Haworth more than 6 years. I have taken charge of collaborative furniture for many years, I love all these products which deliver their great design language. (I am emotional and little bit exciting when I talk about my furniture babies). I am not only a product manager also a project manager in Haworth. I need to look into the market trend, explore the market opportunity, and also need to work cross function to get the resource, control the timeline and manage project team members. Unfortunately, there was not always so smooth, I faced challenges. That is why I need more knowledge and skills from APL.
So here are my reasons to join APL.
Firstly, I want to improve about marketing and product management knowledge, such as price, product, place and promotion. As a product manager, I hope I should be an expert. And I think ALP can give me more ideas and change my mindset.
Secondly, to get more skills about cross-function management, communication and influence the team members. As a team leader I found that the challenge was how to manage people, but I don’t have much this kind of knowledge, so I think APL can train me how.
Finally, ALP is a good opportunity to learn from others who from different culture, countries and departments. We can share ideas, find different solutions and study business cases. That will broaden my perspective, as well as improve my strategic thinking.
I hope to apply all these skills and knowledge in my work to get everything more successful.

Best Regard,
Amy

Dear Haworth leadership,
I hope that this year I will get an opportunity to join the ALP program. I was upset and disappointed when my last year’s application came with no results, I hope that this year I’ll have more luck. So when the program got  launched this year, I decided to apply again without hesitation.
I found that the other guys who have joined the program were really changed, they spent more time studying, and  were able to apply the newly acquired skills and knowledge in their daily work. They told me that the program was a wonderful experience even though very often they were tired, but being able to communicate with people from all over the world on the regular basis broadened their views and gave them the new start.
When it comes to me, I love Haworth, I worked in Haworth  for more than 6 years. During these 6 years I have taken charge of collaborative furniture category , I love how all the products deliver their great design language. (I am emotional and little bit excited when I talk about my furniture babies). Also I work as  a project manager. I need to look into the market trends, explore the market opportunities, and also need to work cross function in order to get the resources, control the timeline and manage project team members. Of course, not always everything went smoothly, I faced different challenges and obstacles. That is why I need more knowledge and skills which I hope to get from APL.
So here are my reasons to join APL.
First of all, I want to improve my marketing and product management knowledge, especially -price, product, place and promotion. As a product manager, I hope to become  an expert,  and I think that ALP can give me more ideas and change my mindset.
Secondly, I hope to  acquire more skills about cross-function management, communication and influencing the team members. As a team leader I found that the challenge was how to manage people, but I don’t have enough of  this kind of a knowledge, so I think APL can train me how-to.
Finally, ALP is the best opportunity to learn from others, people coming form different cultures, countries and departments. We can share our ideas, find different solutions and study business cases. That will broaden my perspective, as well as improve my strategic thinking.
I hope to apply all these skills and knowledge in my everyday work in order to excel in my future career in Haworth
