Speaking exercise

My countryside home is a typical Chinese village, my parents are farmers. Few years ago my father went out to another city to work in job-site, same as other farmers that wanted to make more money. We call them nongmingong. 5 years ago he was retired and went back to home, so he works in his field everyday, grows vegetables, feeds pigs and chickens. My mother makes meal for him every day and sometimes my mother plays mahjong with her friends and neighbors in her free time. My mother has to take care too of my niece, my brother’s daughter who is teenage girl. As you know I’m working in Shanghai and I go back to see my parents 2 or 3 times per year, every time my mother makes delicious food for me and she likes to talk about everything with me. Especially she likes to talk about my older brother because she is angry with him because he is a little lazy and he likes to gamble and don’t have enough money to provide his daughter to go to school. My mother is always sad with it. I think my parents are self sufficient, I like this kind of life attitude.
