occupy (v): 1-to keep someone busy or interested:
E.g.: On long journeys I occupy myself with solving maths puzzles.

preparation (n): 1-the things that you do or the time that you spend preparing for something
准备工作；准备，预备
E.g.: The teacher didn’t seem to have done much preparation for the class.
看来这位教师这堂课准备得不是太充分。
