marketing (n): 1-a job that involves encouraging people to buy a product or service:

market （n）： 1-the people who might want to buy something, or a part of the world where something is sold:
E.g.: Are you sure there’s a market for the product?
E.g.:The domestic market is still depressed, but demand abroad is picking up.

promo merchandise-宣传材料, Promotional merchandise is products branded with a logo or slogan and distributed at little or no cost to promote a brand, corporate identity, or event.
