Vocabulary

down payment (n)an amount of money that you pay at the time that you buy something but is only a part of the total cost of that thing. You usually pay the rest of the cost over a period of time:
E.g.: I made/put a down payment on a new smart TV.

deposit (v): 1-to leave something somewhere:
E.g. : I deposited my luggage in a locker at the station.

2-to pay someone an amount of money when you make an agreement with that person to pay for or buy something, that either will be returned to you later, if the agreed arrangement is kept, or that forms part of the total payment:
E.g.: When we moved in, we had to deposit $1,000 with the landlord in case we broke any of his things.
E.g.: You deposit 20 percent now and pay the rest when the car is delivered.

loan (n): 1-an amount of money that is borrowed, often from a bank, and has to be paid back, usually together with an extra amount of money that you have to pay as a charge for borrowing:
E.g.: She’s trying to get a $50,000 loan to start her own business.
E.g.: We could apply for/take out a loan to buy a car.
to take out/repay a loan (= to borrow money/pay it back)取得 / 偿还贷款

interest (n): 1-money that is charged by a bank or other financial organization for borrowing money:
E.g.: How much interest are you paying on the loan?
2-money that you earn from keeping your money in an account in a bank or other financial organization:
E.g.: You should put the money in a savings account where it will earn interest.

prenuptial agreement- (n)婚前协议, an official document signed by two people before they get married that says what will happen to their possessions and/or children if they divorce (= officially stop being married):
E.g.: He asked her to sign a prenuptial agreement when they got engaged.
