get over something-to accept an unpleasant fact or situation after dealing with it for a while:
E.g.: They’re upset that you didn’t call, but they’ll get over it.
raise (n): 1-an increase in the amount that you are paid for the work you do:
E.g.: She asked the boss for a raise.
scapegoat (n): 1-someone who is blamed or punished for another’s faults or actions:
E.g.: When things don’t go well, people always look for a scapegoat.
