submit (v): 1- to formally send a document, plan, etc. to a person or group in authority so that they can make a decision about it:
E.g.: submit a bid/plan/proposal The consortium has yet to submit a bid.
E.g.: submit a letter/report/request They submitted the report after the retailer said that it might choose a replacement ad agency last year.
E.g.: Applications must be submitted by December 5.
E.g.: I submitted my paperwork to the hukou office

come trough (v): 1-If a piece of information or a document comes through, you receive it:
E.g.: Have the test results come through yet?
E.g.: My visa still hasn’t come through.
E.g.: My hukou should come through within a month

generation gap (n)-a lack of understanding between older and younger people that results from different experiences of life
E.g.: There is a generation gap between my parents and I. 我父母和我之间有代沟。

come of age -to reach the age when you are legally recognized as an adult到了成年;长大成人;年及弱冠
