Vocabulary

womb (n): 1-the organ in the body of a woman or other female mammal in which a baby develops before birth:
E.g.: Researchers are looking at how a mother’s health can affect the baby in the womb.

dread (v): 1-to feel extremely worried or frightened about something that is going to happen or that might happen:
E.g.: He’s dreading the exam – he’s sure he’s going to fail.
E.g.:  I’m dreading having to meet his parents.

harsh (adj): unpleasant, unkind, cruel, or more severe than is necessary:
E.g.: harsh criticism
E.g.: He said some harsh words (= spoke unkindly) about his brother.

C-section (n): 1 -a caesarean (= an operation in which a woman’s uterus is cut open to allow a baby to be born):

epidural (n): 1-an anaesthetic (= a substance that stops you feeling pain) that is put into the nerves in a person’s lower back with a special needle:
