offensive (adj): 1-causing offence:
E.g.: This program contains language that some viewers might find offensive.
E.g.: He told some really offensive sexist jokes.

racism-种族主义, the belief that people’s qualities are influenced by their race and that the members of other races are not as good as the members of your own, or the resulting unfair treatment of members of other races:
E.g.: The authorities are taking steps to combat/fight/tackle racism in schools.
E.g.: He fought against racism.

racist (n): 1-someone who believes that other races are not as good as their own and therefore treats them unfairly:
E.g.: Two of the killers are known to be racists.

racist (Adj): 1-believing that other races are not as good as your own and therefore treating them unfairly:
E.g.: He furiously denied being racist.
E.g.: They were the victims of a racist attack.

connotation (n): a feeling or idea that is suggested by a word in addition to its basic meaning, or something suggested by an object or situation:
E.g.: “Resolute” means stubborn, but with a more positive connotation.
E.g.: negative connotation-贬义
