buy-购买, to get something by paying money for it:
E.g.: I would love to buy a new sweater!
E.g.: I bought a ticket for tonight’s concert.

sell-卖
E.g.: I sold him my car/I sold my car to him for $600.
E.g.: We’ll be selling the tickets at/for 50RMB each.

sale (n)-销售, an occasion when goods are sold at a lower price than usual:
E.g.： a mid-season/end-of-season sale
E.g.： a clearance/closing-down sale
E.g.： I bought this in the January sales.
