Vocabulary

cabin (n): 1-(ON SHIP)a small room where you sleep in a ship

port (n): 1-港口 2- a town by the sea or by a river that has a harbour, or the harbour itself:
E.g.: a naval/fishing/container port
E.g.: We had a good view of all the ships coming into/leaving port.

cable car (n): 1-a vehicle that hangs from and is moved by a cable and transports people up steep

slope (n): 1-a surface that lies at an angle to the horizontal so that some points on it are higher than others:
E.g.: The roof is at a slope (= at an angle to a horizontal surface) of 30°.
​2-(part of) the side of a hill or mountain:
E.g.: a ski/mountain slope
E.g.: Snow had settled on some of the higher slopes.
E.g.: There’s a very steep slope just before you reach the top of the mountain.

steep (adj): 1- (of a slope) rising or falling at a sharp angle:
E.g.: a steep slope
E.g.: It’s a steep climb to the top of the mountain, but the view is worth it.
E.g.: The castle is set on a steep hill/hillside.
​2-A steep rise or fall is one that goes very quickly from low to high or from high to low:
E.g.: There has been a steep increase/rise in prices.

gentle (adj): 1-not steep or sudden:
E.g.: The path has a gentle slope/gradient.

skyline (n): 1-a shape or pattern made against the sky, especially by buildings:
E.g.: You get a good view of the New York skyline from the Statue of Liberty.
