Vocabulary

quiz (n): 1- a game or competition in which you answer questions:
E.g.: a history/sport, etc. quiz
E.g.: There are so many inane television quiz shows.
E.g.: A lot of pubs have quiz nights once or twice a week.

quiz (v): 1-to ask someone questions about something:
E.g.: She spent an hour being quizzed by journalists.

pub (n): 1- a place, especially in Great Britain or Ireland, where alcoholic drinks can be bought and drunk and where food is often available:
E.g.: Do you want to go to (informal go down) the pub after work?
E.g.: our local pub
E.g.: a pub lunch.

hangover (n): 1-a feeling of illness after drinking too much alcohol:
E.g.: I had a terrible hangover the next morning.
E.g.: a hangover cure

journalist (n): 1-a person who writes news stories or articles for a newspaper or magazine or broadcasts them on radio or television:
E.g.: a freelance political journalist

top-up (n): 1-the act of putting more drink into someone’s glass or cup:
E.g.: Your glass is nearly empty. Would you like a top-up?
2-the act of adding liquid in order to fill to the top a container that is already partly full
