insert (v): to put something inside something else
E.g.: Insert the key in/into the lock.
stick (v): to push a pointed object into or through something, or (of a pointed object) to be pushed into or through something and stay there
E.g.: She stuck the needle into my arm.
E.g.: We decided where to go for our holiday by closing our eyes and sticking a pin in the map.
move on (v): to accept that a situation has changed and be ready to deal with new experiences
Since he and his girlfriend broke up, he’s been finding it difficult to move on.
young at heart
thinking and behaving as if you are younger than you really are
E.g.: Dad may be nearly 90 but he’s still young at heart.
E.g.: I’ll stay young at heart for the rest of my life
soul mate (n):ææ°ç¸æçäºº;å¿å¿ç¸å°çæå
A soul mate is someone with whom you share a close friendship and deep personal understanding.
E.g.: Steve and I became soul mates, near-constant companions.
fate (n): a power that some people believe causes and controls all events, so that you cannot change or control the way things will happen
E.g.: When we met again by chance in Cairo, I felt it must be fate.
E.g.: Fate has brought us together.
