Vocabulary

insert (v): to put something inside something else
插入
E.g.: Insert the key in/into the lock.
将钥匙插入锁中。

stick (v): to push a pointed object into or through something, or (of a pointed object) to be pushed into or through something and stay there

E.g.: She stuck the needle into my arm.
她把针头扎进我的胳膊。
E.g.: We decided where to go for our holiday by closing our eyes and sticking a pin in the map.

move on (v): to accept that a situation has changed and be ready to deal with new experiences

fate (n): a power that some people believe causes and controls all events, so that you cannot change or control the way things will happen

E.g.: When we met again by chance in Cairo, I felt it must be fate.

E.g.: Fate has brought us together.
