internship (n): a period of time during which someone works for a company or organization in order to get experience of a particular type of work

E.g.: Jane has a summer internship at a local TV station.

bureaucracy (n): a system for controlling or managing a country, company, or organization that is operated by a large number of officials employed to follow rules carefully

E.g.: I had to deal with the university’s bureaucracy when I was applying for financial aid.

bureaucratic (adj): involving complicated rules and processes that make something slow and difficult
