Vocabulary

park (v):to put a vehicle in a place where it can stay for a period of time, usually while you leave it
停放(车辆)
E.g.: Where have you parked?
你把车停在哪儿了?
E.g.: Just park your car in the driveway.
就把车停在车道上吧。

parking (n): leaving a vehicle in a particular place for a period of time

tidy sth away
to put things back in drawers, cupboards, and other places where they are kept, after you have used them:
E.g.: The children were expected to tidy away their toys before bedtime.

put sth away
to put something in the place or container where it is usually kept:
E.g.: Put your toys away now.

leave/put sth in order
to organize something well:
E.g.: I try to leave my desk in order when I go home.
E.g.: He put his affairs in order (= made arrangements for his personal and business matters) before he went into the hospital.

We have to leave our desks in order before heading out

Put the files in alphabetical/chronological order.
把文件按字母/时间顺序排列。
I can’t find the file I need because they’re all out of order (= they are no longer arranged in the correct way).

out of order
not operating-working because it is broken:
E.g.: I’m afraid we have to walk up the stairs – the elevator is out of order.

affair (n): a situation or subject that is being dealt with or considered
事务;事情
E.g.: She organizes her financial affairs very efficiently.
她把自己的财务处理得井井有条、又快又好。
E.g.: He’s always meddling in (= trying to influence) other people’s affairs.
他总想插手别人的事情。
E.g.: What I do in my spare time is my affair (= only involves me).
