Vocabulary

Rudder – A hand operated tool for steering a boat, usually attached to the motor

Outboard motor – a self contained motor which is attached to the back of boats

Quarters – where a group of people live (Usually for military or work)
eg. The workers quarters are located on the edge of the worksite.

Barracks – Military term for building where soldiers live
eg. After training we are required to return to our barracks immediately.

Pet Peeves – Something small that annoys you
eg. One of my biggest pet peeved is when someone is rude to a waiter.

I had two years life of military from 2000 to 2002. In my mind, I really admire soldier’s life. That is why I applied. In the army my major training is studied what is speed boat and how to drive it. We had outside training for more than one week in different place once a year. In that training we needed to overcome a lots of difficult conditions, such as high temperatures and hard raining, you just had cool water for shower when you finished training. living room also hadn’t AC, so a large amount of mosquitoes around of me.
Except that professional training, we also needed a lot of different training. Such as long distance running.

I spent two years in the military from 2000 to 2002. In my opinion, the soldiers life is very admirable. That is why I applied. In the army my specialization was operating speed boats. We had outside training for a week or more in a different place every year. During outside training we needed to overcome a lots of difficult conditions, such as high temperatures and hard raining.  We just only had cold water for showering when you finished training. Also, after training there was only cold water for showering. living room Our barracks didn’t have AC, so there was always a swarm of mosquitoes around surrounding me.
Except Other than specialization training, we also needed a lot of general training. Such as long distance running, shooting, and first aid training.

Oxford Comma: the last comma in a list of rule: It’s necessary. 

When listing items, put the first comma after the first item, and then after every other item until the last. For the last item, put “and” in front and finish sentence with a period.
