Vocabulary

Gun control – The practice of making it harder to buy guns
eg. Liberals support gun control more than conservatives.

Civil Right Movement – the campaign of black Americans to get equal rights
eg. Martin Luther King Jr. was a big part of the Civil Rights Movement.

Racism – treating someone different based on their race
eg.Racism is not just an American problem.

Classist – treating some different based on their position in society (or money)

eg. People in tier 1 cities in China are often classist towards people from rural areas.

Institutionalized Racism – racism from the state

Civil Services – services provided by the city or state (police, firefighter, garbage pickup)
eg. Civil services in bigger cities are better than in rural areas.

Moderate – to have a political ideas that are in the middle
eg. I have many liberal ideas but I am a moderate.

Democrat part – Democratic party

On the opposite, the republican would offense abortion, and through the government power to control the economic market. They don’t allow guns to be bought in society. – On the contrary, the republicans would oppose abortion, and oppose the government controlling the economic market.
